Our busy life lately

In early November, we flew to Oklahoma for my brother, Seth's, wedding. Carter and I got to stay 9 days, and tried to make the most of our time. We saw most of our family, visited friends in Edmond, met up with friends from college, and played with friends in Claremore. We had a great time!
This is Carter wearing his PJ's glasses. He thought it was funny, and kept posing for pics. He also kept saying, "There's 2 mommies."



PJ also had 2 new calves. Carter loved getting up and feeding them each morning. I'm pretty sure that by the end of the trip, he could've done it all by himself.Carter also had his first sleepover with his cousins Ethan and Noah. Here they are watching a movie with Papa.
The purpose of our visit was, of course, Seth and Lesley's wedding. Carter did his job as ring-bearer perfectly! He was so serious and quiet during the ceremony. His 2 favorite people in the world are Seth and Lesley and he couldn't understand why they seemed to be so busy that day. All Carter wanted was to eat cake and dance with Lesley. He got both wishes. At the end of the night, he was devastated that he didn't get to leave in the "big car" (limo) with them.



We've had several sets of visitors in the last few weeks (another group is coming today). We LOVE visitors! Carter is a great help when it comes to getting the house clean.
Jeff, Lauren, and Brody Mains spent the week of Thanksgiving with us. We spent a couple of days in Keystone so Jeff & Philip could snowboard. Lauren and I even got to go to the outlet malls one day.

Yum! We did this all ourselves!!!! Lauren and I made almost everything, Philip made the turkey (since a big piece of raw meat makes me gag).

Super Carter!

Carter loves to Skype with his grandparents. Last week we talked to Nina and Papa. Carter always wants to show off and use props. This is what he did last week:
A group of families from our Sunday School class got permits to from the wildlife/forrestry department to cut REAL live trees from the forest! It was snowy, cold and fun! We realized that you can't really get a "perfect" tree very easily, but love the little tree we found.



When my parents were here earlier in the week, my mom and Carter made a gingerbread train. He loved it and wanted to eat all the candy.


Carter and I decorated the tree one day when my mom, dad, and Philip went skiing. We had fun. Carter loved unwrapping all the ornaments. He helped by hanging all his ornaments on one branch.
